Always check a precut tree's needles for freshness. Rub your hand down a branch. If the needles come off easily, then the tree is too dry.

Cutting down the tree. Staff at a tree farm can cut down the tree for you. Many farms have the option for you and your famiy to cut down the tree with a hand saw.

The tree is placed trunk first into the tree bailer. This allows for easier transport of the tree.
