What Is It? Wednesday- Glyphosate Damage on Beets

These beets were injured by glyphosate overspray. Only the last 6 feet of 6 beds were affected. The applicator was spraying the row middles and forgot to turn off the sprayer while turning around at the end of the row. The most heavily sprayed plants have already died, but luckily, only a few row feet were affected. Even experienced applicators make can mistakes, so be sure to stay aware of what you’re doing at all times.
