In this month’s grower spotlight, Andy is visiting Bush-N-Vine Farm in York, SC. This innovative, diversified farm, owned and operated by Bob Hall, began growing truck crops and grew into a thriving business. They have multiple retail outlets and a growing CSA program. Bush-N-Vine grows peaches, strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, grapes, figs, and most recently, persimmons. They also still grow a huge variety of tomatoes in greenhouses, as well as normal field culture. They grow many brassica crops, as well as multiple pea and bean crops, and are probably most known for their use of high tunnels to extend the harvest season of many crops, along with the greenhouses for out-of-season production. Visit Bush-N-Vine’s retail store to see everything they have to offer!
