WalkSC

Do you want to get more active? Do you want to learn more about taking charge of your health? Do you want to learn about South Carolina along the way? Physical activity is crucial for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Getting active can help you lose weight, lower blood pressure, lower blood sugar, lower your risk for heart disease, build strength and gain flexibility in your muscles, sleep better, improve your mood, and increase your energy levels.

Clemson Cooperative Extension is excited to offer WalkSC to all South Carolina residents over the age of 18 for free.

What will I do?

Throughout this 12-week online program, you will learn about activity, healthy eating, and some of the natural areas of South Carolina along the Palmetto Trail. This program includes a weekly step goal, weekly interactions with a Rural Health and Nutrition Agent or EFNEP Educator, a private Facebook group to connect with and get support from others in the program, and health education videos. Meet your step goals each week to virtually walk the Palmetto Trail, which spans 500 miles across South Carolina.

Come walk with us across the state and learn about healthy lifestyle behaviors! Register for free at WalkSC.
